Terms

What we're agreeing to

Plain terms for a plain arrangement. Everything here matches what the rest of the site says — if you spot a difference between this page and anything else we have published, the difference is our mistake and the version that favours you is the one that applies.

Last updated 16 August 2026. These terms are between you and Hewlyn Sites, a sole proprietorship in Georgia, United States. They apply from the moment you pay.

What you get for $500

A complete website for your business, built by us, live on your own domain. The full list of what is included is on the pricing page and forms part of these terms.

Then $24.99 a month to keep it running — hosting, domain renewal, the SSL certificate, backups, monitoring and unlimited small text and photo edits. It starts one calendar month after your site goes live, not when you pay.

Optional extras, only if you ask for them: branding at$500 on its own or $250 alongside a build, and email at $7 per mailbox per month.

Timing, and what it depends on

We aim to have your site live within two weeks of the kickoff call. That assumes one round of changes and that you send us what we ask for.

The clock is not ours alone. If we are waiting on your photographs, your service list or your registrar details, the fortnight stretches by however long that takes. We will tell you when we are waiting on you, and what for.

Changes to the design

Five full rounds of changes are included. A round is you sending us your notes and us working through them — not one note at a time.

Most sites are right after one. The other four exist so that nothing has to be let through because you ran out of chances. If you use them, the launch date moves by however long they take; the rounds are included, the calendar simply follows them.

Beyond five, or for work that changes what the site is rather than how it looks, we will quote you before doing anything. We will never bill you for something you did not agree to first.

What is yours

All of it. The domain is registered in your name, the site files are yours, the brand files are yours, and your customer enquiries go to your inbox rather than ours. The ownership page sets this out in full and forms part of these terms.

We do not hold your site hostage over an unpaid invoice, we do not put our name in your footer, and there is nothing to sign to get any of it back.

You are responsible for what goes on the site being true and yours to publish — your photographs, your claims, your licence numbers. We write the words, but you know your business and you confirm it before it goes live.

Paying, cancelling and refunds

You do not have to pay until the site is live. If you would rather start sooner you can pay up front, and it makes no difference to what follows.

If you do not want what we build, you do not pay for it.That holds whether you paid up front or not — if you paid and decide against it before launch, we refund you in full. We would rather part company than argue.

The monthly fee has no contract and no minimum. Cancel whenever you like, by email, and it stops at the end of the month you have paid for. Your site and domain remain yours; we hand over what we hold and remove our access, within five business days.

If a monthly payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it stays unpaid we may stop hosting the site — but we will contact you first, and we will not delete anything or take your domain.

When something goes wrong

We will keep your site up and fix what breaks, as quickly as we can. We cannot promise it is never down: hosting, domains and certificates depend on companies that are not us, and anybody who promises otherwise is guessing.

We do not promise search rankings. We build sites properly so they can be found — structure, speed, the right pages, real content — and the SEO page explains exactly what that means. Nobody can promise a position on Google, and we will not pretend to.

If we get something badly wrong, what you can recover from us is limited to what you have paid us. That is the honest limit of a business this size, and we would rather say so here than surprise you with it later.

Changes to these terms

If we change them, the version that applied when you paid is the one that governs your build. We will not apply a new term retroactively to work you have already bought.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Georgia, United States.

Anything here you do not like, or do not understand, say so before you pay and we will talk about it. That is a much better conversation than the one that starts after.
